How will therapy or counseling help me?

Individuals often seek therapy to resolve painful feelings, troubling thoughts, and distressing situations.

Through therapy, our clients learn practical ways of coping with grief, stress, depression, anger, and much more. They are able to better understand themselves, their strengths and weaknesses, their relationships, needs, and patterns.

The results include a more purposeful and satisfying experience of life.

What is the first session like?

Your first session will create a time and space for you to meet your therapist. During the first session, the therapist will get to know you by asking some questions and will discuss your goals at your pace. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions that may be on your mind.

If you are feeling nervous about talking to a therapist, this is a good opportunity to break the ice. The goal of the session is to instill a sense of safety and comfort.
