Connecting with the right provider for your overall health and well-being is important. Knowing more about me and my counseling approach may assist you in making this courageous decision.

I have been passionately serving in the healthcare field since 1988. My first steps on this path were as a provider of education, nurturing touch, and compassionate support for woman and families during childbirth. My thirst for knowledge in the healing arts led to certifications as a birth educator, labor doula, massage therapist, Thai Yoga massage practitioner, and yoga instructor. I was on the seasonal staff at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies while volunteering with Hospice and receiving training in end-of-life support.

In addition to my private massage and doula practice, I facilitated healing journeys in Thailand and Bali with Integral Travel. My teachings included valuable self-exploration tools including journaling, guided visualization, movement, mindfulness and meditation, while also creating a calm and non-judgmental atmosphere for growth and learning.

After receiving my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, I combined my experience in body work with counseling techniques based on a holistic approach of integrating the mind, body and heart. Special areas of interest include body image, relationships to food, chronic pain and health diagnosis, depression, trauma, grief and loss as well as major life transitions such as relationship change, pregnancy, divorce or retirement.

I individualize treatment based on your unique situation using an array of evidenced-based modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Non-violent communication, mindfulness-based stress reduction, trauma informed care, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and Somatic Experiencing. I aim to provide a safe space to explore any aspect of your human experience you would like to share so you feel heard and seen.

Inspired by my own personal journey, I believe optimal health must include mental health. It is truly an honor to accompany others as they move towards greater health, healing and happiness. If you feel I may be a good match for your needs, I am here to meet you.
